Video Tutorial for Stenciled Side Table Fleur de Lis
Is your furniture missing a little je ne sais quoi? Lately we cannot get enough of our Assorted Vintage Fleur De Lis Craft Stencil. In this tutorial we enhance a side table with a softly stenciled wreathed fleur de lis.
For this project we used Annie Sloan's chalk paint in French Linen & Old White. You will need a stencil brush, repositionable spray adhesive, and a stencil from Crafty Stencils.
First you'll want to coat the side table in French Linen chalk paint then let it dry. Spray the back of your stencil with repositionable spray adhesive then allow it 30-60 seconds to become tacky. Next, find the middle of the table with a ruler and press your stencil to the center.
Now you will want to prepare a small portion of a Old White chalk paint. Take your stencil brush and swirl your bristles in the paint. Once your bristles are coated in paint, swirl the brush onto paper towel until hardly any color swirls out. At this point your brush should feel dry to the touch.
Take your dry brush and begin swirling the bristles through the stencil design. Be sure to swirl up on the edges of the stencil so that you get full coverage. Peel off your stencil and admire your work!
